MARIA’S 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY WITH TMIC

TMIC recently celebrated a milestone – Maria Roufas reached the 10 year mark with the company. Congratulations Maria! Here’s to another 10 years!    TMIC PROJECTS It’s been a very eventful few months for TMIC, with lots of interesting and exciting new projects to keep not only us, but our interviewers nice and busy! Our hectic schedule has been provided by an array of exciting research studies, including the gigantic but successful task of completing nearly 13,000 tradesmen interviews for the one project!!! A job well done by all involved!! We would like to say a huge thank you to our fantastic interviewers who worked their socks off for us and all done with a smile! We really appreciate your good quality and timely work!   STRATEGY SESSION Following on from last year’s successful strategy session in the serene surroundings of Gerrigong, we decided to stick with the tranquil theme for this year’s business focussed get-together. We have chosen to stay at the Nan Tien Temple in Wollongong and hope the calm and peaceful surroundings will assist us with our brainstorming activities and hopefully provide a valuable platform to discuss various business strategies for the company going forward. We will be sure to provide some pictures in the next blog to keep you well entertained!   TMIC GETAWAYS Even through the busy times, some of us have still managed to fit in a small holiday here and there. Maria Roufas has recently returned from Greece where she spent five weeks catching up with family and friends. During these tough economic times in Greece it is good to see that Irene is also supporting the European economy and has just left for a five week holiday with her husband and two young children. Maria Orsaris has also had some well needed R&R, spending a fun filled week in gorgeous Hawaii enjoying the sun, surf and of course the delectable cocktails!   JUNE’S VARIETY BASH – a little note from our Field Co-ordinator, June Coleman: In August 2011, I will be participating in the Variety NSW Bash leaving from Baulkham Hills driving through NSW, Qld, NT and on to our destination at Buccaneer Rock, Broome WA, around 5,500kms.  This is not a race or a rally but a Charity drive in the country.  What is Variety?  It’s the Children’s Charity, a national not-for-profit organisation empowering children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.  Variety the children’s charity gives more than a million dollars worth of goods and services a month to children with special needs.  The Bash is not a race or a rally and speed is not important. What really matters is that everyone has an enjoyable time travelling in parts of Australia they would not otherwise see, at the same time raising money for special needs children. I am participating this year with my son Scott, driving his 1966 Toyota Corona, car no. 888 in the NSW Variety Bash.  Scott among other things was a Toyota mechanic so I have every faith in his ability to keep the car running, it is the third Bash he has participated in and my first. We will be the first mother and son team in the history of the NSW Variety Bash & we’re taking our major sponsors with us.  All vehicles entered in the Bash must have been manufactured prior to or during 1974. They must be roadworthy, registered and insured as prescribed by State laws.  All vehicles must be conventional two wheel drive vehicles with a maximum crew of four people.  Motorcycles, buses, coaches, caravans, skateboards or wheelbarrows are not allowed. I have included a photograph of car no.888 and a picture of this year’s Variety Bash poster. I am looking forward to the trip and will be sure to provide an update upon my return! For further information, you can contact me on: 02 8336 8012.
