Anne recently attended CeBIT Australia 2013, the annual exhibition on business technology solutions in Sydney’s Convention & Exhibition Centre, with a two-fold mission: 1. to learn more about specific ICT technology relevant to one of TMIC’s current market research projects 2. to look at ways we can improve our internal business processes and communications with both our clients and market research participants.
Anne found some of the information she was looking for, she learned about the Cloud and its wonderful applications, she had her husband Donat explain the purpose of various hardware bits on display, she was entertained by one of the vendors’ MCs prior to listening to their take on the 7 challenges of an ICT Manager, she saw a freaky massaging device in one of the Chinese stalls, noticed that there is actually an on-line shrink app should any urgent need arise, and became indoctrinated in the wonderfully speedy world of the national broadband network only to find out subsequently that the NBN will not be rolled out to her house any time soon! Anne and Donat then enjoyed a nice lunch overlooking Darling Harbour. So, all in all – a successful day. We have attached a photograph of Anne below.
