A Message From June – Re: 2013 Variety Bash

I’ve just returned from an adventurous, exciting and fun filled NSW Variety Bash driving a 1968 Toyota Crown from Bankstown to Ballarat via Nyngan, Tibooburra, Cameron Corner, Innamincka, Birdsville, Leigh Creek, Peterborough, Mildura and Horsham. We dressed in rock & roll skirts as Laverne & Shirley, our car – No 11, drove through running creeks, deep corrugations, sand hills and lots of red dust. We visited schools en route giving them much needed equipment in return for breakfast or lunch. Collectively the Bash participants raised $2 million for disadvantaged children in Australia and a great time was had by all.
