Those who know us well, know that we’re serious about our work but we know how to have fun … and that’s the best way to describe our recent annual Strategy Offsite 2 Day Seminar, which all staff attended.
Hi Ho Hi Ho … it’s off to work we go … we merrily ventured to the Blue Mountains for our two days of meetings. Newer staff gained a deeper appreciation of the Who What & Why of The Market Intelligence Co. (TMIC), while those who have been here for years examined How we can improve and move forward for ourselves and our clients.
Although jam packed, it hardly felt like work. When the sun went down, out came the cocktail dresses. Creativity flowed into the evening with our “Kooky Cocktails” session. The evening ended with a battle of trivia knowledge … though lots of laughter … for those of you who have played “Trivial Pursuit DVD Modern Edition” you will know why.
Laughter spilled into Day 2, when Maria (Field & Coding Manager) screamed from the top of the Scenic Railway to its very bottom … in anticipation, as her memory of her last time on the steepest incline railway in the world told her that it really was going to speed up in any moment … that moment never came!
This photo was taken after the impressive rather than thrilling ride. Maria’s humorously expressed fear did not dampen our laughter. Neither did our laughter taint her good sense of humour. For the record, Maria still stands firm behind her memory of the railways speed regardless of the attendant’s oath.
We survived … the Scenic Railway
