Tuesday nights usually pass by uneventfully; however, this past Tuesday was different. The buzz had been in the air for weeks, and finally, the night arrived where our team came together for our social outing to see “The Marvellous Elephant Man the Musical”.
Part of the Sydney Fringe Festival, The Marvellous Elephant Man The Musical is a darkly comedic and totally inaccurate retelling of the life of Joseph Merrick. Set in the squalid streets of Victorian London, this original Australian musical had us laughing, crying, and often cringing as the story unfolded. The beautiful Spiegeltent set in the Festival Garden at EQ was the perfect setting for an outrageous night out. We were also lucky enough to meet and have a photo with the writers and some of the cast at the end of the show.
This wasn’t just a spectacle for our eyes and ears, it was an evening where the boundaries between work and play blurred, and we all came out even closer as a team.
Can’t wait for the next team outing where we can all let our hair down again!
