This year’s Melbourne Cup Luncheon certainly did not fail to deliver. Adorned in fancy hats and fascinators, we each brought in a plate to share as we watched the race in anticipation. Yet again we filled our rumbling bellies with morish munchies and tasty treats. Savoury dishes included oriental salad, zucchini fritters, pastities, stuffed tomatoes and curry puffs to name but a few followed by pavlova, chocolate brownies, a fruit platter and tirimasu covered in maltersers.
