Angela and Mel joined Mansi to celebrate her sister in law’s wedding whilst in India.
We have included some pictures of the three gorgeous ladies in their beautiful sarees and also a couple of photographs during their visit to various famous monuments. Before the wedding a ‘bangles ceremony’ is held which involves the bride wearing red and green bangles for approximately a week. This is then followed by the ring exchanging ceremony where the groom’s family covers the head of the bride with the ‘dupatta’ (red coloured head scarf) and the bride is given gifts of gold jeweller and a ‘henna ceremony’ which involves temporary tattooing of the hands and feet (see picture of Mel). The bride has both hands and feet tattooed and the other women have just the hands done. All this even before the big day and big celebration.
